The KJO legacy began in 2006 with a singular goal: to practice dentistry that heals rather than harms. Dr. Johar realized early on that while laser technology was advancing rapidly, clinical education was severely lagging. Doctors were buying expensive diode lasers, only to let them sit in the corner out of fear or lack of protocol.

In 2011, Dr. Johar published the first edition of Fundamentals of Laser Dentistry, filling a critical void in medical literature. It quickly became the definitive international textbook. To bring the book to life, the KJO Academy was born - offering immersive, hands-on mentorship to ensure that clinicians didn't just understand the physics, but could master the tactile tissue interaction required for true clinical excellence.

In 2011, Dr. Kirpa Johar published the 1st Edition of Fundamentals of Laser Dentistry. At a time when clinical laser education was scarce and heavily reliant on confusing physics, this groundbreaking textbook quickly became an international bestseller. It served as the definitive clinical guide for thousands of dental professionals worldwide and laid the academic foundation for the KJO Academy.

However, over the last 15 years, the landscape of photomedicine has evolved dramatically.
